Our first album with 9 songs all recorded in one day in march 2020 in the One Drop Studio, Basel by Eric Gut.

The first song is a cover of one of our favorite bands, the Sun Ra Arkestra.
They play this Lullaby for realville before they are heading to Saturn again.
Diga Diga Doo is a fast swing tune from the 20ies. For the good dancers
Then there are three songs of our own. Shaggar al Shuggar represents a new imaginary genre: ethiopian swing
Nirvana's hit song is inspired by the swing version of Paul Anka.
Amapola is taking you to a Kaffeehaus in Vienna, an old couple is dancing closely with a smile on their faces like they were remembering some really good times.
You've stolen my head and now I don't remember what I wanted to say.
And we close and the album with an old classic that we often play at the end of our concerts. A last exhausting tune. Hope to see you soon again!

The Sheiks Zürich, Switzerland

Switzerland based septett started 2018 with a repertoire from the swing era in the first half of the 20th century. They soon started to write their own songs inspired by those other songs.
In 2021 they lost their friend, guitar player/singer/composer rocketman Valentin Baumgartner. They are now a sextett and often play his songs. They are working on a second album release september 24 ... more
